
| The Research field-trip to the outskirts of Nature Conservation is an initiative that aims to map and draw attention to vulnerable and valuable forest environments in the region Norrland in the north of Sweden.
The trip is arranged in cooperation with different local enthusiasts and environmental associations.
This year two trips are organized to: Mjällådalen in Timrå July 26-31, 2009, and Frostviken in Strömsund municipality August 3-9, 2009.

Forest activist and freelancing forest inventory specialist with the old-growth forest as an employeer. Has earlier worked with media at Sveriges Television for more than 20 years. Born and raised in Timrå, nowadays lives outside Härnösand. Committed to forest and nature conservation issues since the middle of the 1990s. Active in the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation in Härnösand and Västernorrland.

Student and dedicated botanist. Grew up in Ljungskile, nowadays living outside Härnösand. Studies nature conservation biology at Mid Sweden University. Fell in love with the old-growth forest and its species during an inventory trip with Nature and Youth in 2006. Active in Nature and Youth and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation in Härnösand. Leader of the Research field-trip to the outskirts of nature conservation, since 2008.
